rhas always considers the most appropriate method of sale for your personal or business circumstance:

i) Tender

  1. Deadline tender - the calling of sealed offers for the purchase of assets to be lodged by a set date Open tender - the calling of open offers for the purchase of assets to be lodged by a set date
  2. Sealed bid tender - the calling of sealed offers for the purchase of assets generally to be lodged by a set date & negotiated sale.

ii) Private treaty

the seeking out and negotiation with individual buyers for the sale of assets

iii) Auction


  1. By outcry - the traditional auction sale with the auctioneer “calling” ascending offers until all bidding (offers) has been exhausted with a sale to the highest offerer
  2. By silent bid - a method of auction whereby bids are in written form, generally successively on a single piece of paper and with the buyer being the person with the highest bid at a pre-determined time
  3. Dutch auction - the auctioneer calls prices in descending order, commencing at a price in excess of the expected selling price. The buyer is the first person to call “mine” or to indicate in some other way that they accept the auctioneer’s offer to sell at that price.
Broking

rhas offers three styles of broking all available for tender, private negotiation or auction:

  1. Guaranteed sale - rhas will provide a guarantee of the minimum net price with the vendor taking a significant share of any amount achieved over the guarantee
  2. Outright purchase (with or without share of "blue sky" over pre-agreed amount)
  3. Commission base - often the basis that returns the highest net return to the vendor and where rhas charges a combination of all or some of commission, buyers’ premium and reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses
rhas manages sales to generate operating capital, close a plant or division, settle an insolvency division, manage a security agreement, convert idle assets into working capital or dispose of surplus assets resulting from relocation.
 
Three way proposal

In our initial consultation, we discuss three different financial arrangements and the one which will best suit your needs.
  • rhas will purchase the assets outright.
  • Secondly we offer a guaranteed sale, in which we guarantee you the final proceeds you may realise for your assets.
  • The third option, which frequently realises the largest net dollar benefit to the client, is a fee based or commission sale.
How we deliver such high returns

After you approve our proposal, which includes an estimate of the sale’s gross realisation and provides a detailed expense budget, we go to work.

An extensive marketing campaign is initiated producing a consistently outstanding and highly qualified response to rhas sales. We attract buyers with highly recognisable, visible advertisements and direct mail brochures that display the equipment accurately with listings and photographs. Brochures are mailed to all relevant prospects, based on their industry type, equipment needs and geographic location. This mailing list is culled from our master roster with access to many thousands of potential buyers worldwide. Advertisements are placed in appropriated newspapers, special publications and trade journals. In the plant, we physically prepare the assets for sale. Items are cleaned, grouped by lot, catalogued and arranged.

At auction, the buyers’ inspection, the sale’s timing and the auctioneer’s speed, rhythm and knowledge all demonstrate rhas' experience at bringing a buying atmosphere to a sale. We know what the assets are worth, so we can - and do - get what their value is. The proof: we consistently deliver high cash returns. We project them and we achieve them.

The final action by rhas is to submit to you a detailed report of sale which lists all assets sold or retained as well as their selling price. All expenses are detailed, and an account of all buyers, their purchases and the price they paid is stored in our computer. This information is available to the client at any time during as well as in the final report of sale.
